DRUG BUST OF THE CENTURY! – Press Release
On June 7th, 2026, Los Santos Police Department Narcotics Unit (A.k.a the Anti-Drug Regime) and the BCSO Patrol Division conducted a coordinated enforcement operation targeting an ongoing narcotics trafficking organization. Due ot the joint effort of the LSPD and BCSO they have caught an individual with a large amount of drugs and weapons (not just one, A LOT!).
The drug bust was one of the biggest in recent history, containing an itemized list that included, but is not limited to: 311 individualized bags of marijuana, over 3 marijuana bricks, totaling 2100 grams of marijuana, 84 prescription pills, cultivation materials, shotguns, pistols, and many other forms of weaponry!
This investigation is a statement of when Law Enforcement departments work together towards a common goal. The professionalism and commitment displayed by LSPD and BCSO were instrumental to the success of this operation and we are committed to aggressively targeting narcotics traffickers and illegal firearms in our community.
The LSPD and BCSO held a press conference where our beloved CEO Jett Black, host of the Hard Facts with Jett Black, attended. He was able to ask some very crucial questions that he knew the citizens would want to know! There were other questions asked by other individuals as well.
Question 1: Are you going to release the identity of this trafficker, and if not why not?
Yes, his name is Jay'Ron Cromwell.
Question 2: How many years do you thing the perp is going to spend in the prison colony up north?
He plead guilty and will be spending 5 years in prison.
Question 3: How long do you think this operation took to plan and carry out?
The direct details behind our investigation remains confidential but it took several hours of tireless working from the LSPD and BCSO.
Question 4: Can we expect similar operations and cooperation from BCSO and LSPD? It has been reported that your operations are somewhat separated and there has been tension. Would you say this is a new age for the two departments to work together?
Deputy Zoey Brooks, BCSO - The goal is not to be at odds with the LSPD. We genuinely look at a lot of these guys as people who are going to show up on the scene and save our asses, and vice versa. We want to work with the LSPD. We have shown that we can work with the LSPD and we hope to keep building that relationship in the future to improve not only public safety but the relationship between the departments as a whole.
Question 5: What do you plan to do with the collected contraband including the unregistered firearms, the drugs, etc.
Those will remain in evidence as is consistent with departmental policy. Once the statutes of limitation has expired it will all be destroyed.
Question 6: Do you intend to take any steps after this to prevent similar things happening like more strict regulations, drug searches, or more severe punishments?
As the police department we're the enforcement arm of the government. We're not the legislative branch. If your question is 'Is there going to be stricter laws' and stuff like that, that's not our responsibility. We're going to continue to listen to our commands, our command staff, and the governor. As long as we're given the leash to go out and enforce our drug laws, we're going to continue to do so vigorously and aggressively; proactively.
The officers involved in this drug bust are as follows: Deputy Zoey Brooks – BCSO, Ruchard “Duck” Hungwell – BCSO, Senior Officer Amelia Villa – LSPD, Luke Stratton – LSPD, and Chocky Chip – LSPD. The team finished the conference by saying Happy Pride Month! We here at JBTV will always support those who are looking out for our community!
